One of the main objectives of the GO map is to facilitate partnership and collaboration by displaying international projects and events related to cancer research, care, and outreach in a searchable format.

SEARCH FUNCTION

You can access the search function by clicking on the magnifying glass on the top or bottom right corner of the page. Click on the dropdown menu to search by Project, Investigator, Organization, Cancer Type, Event, User, or All Sections. Then click on “Search for…” and enter the text/name you would like to search for.

FILTER FUNCTION

The Filter button can be found on the bottom right corner of the map. The Filter function allows you to search for projects by region, country, organization types, cancer types, organizations, project types, funding sources, and/or start and end dates. In contrast to the Search function that allows you to search for a user or organization, the Filter function only outputs Projects.

How to use map layers

There are  different types of layers available, each with a different color scheme (examples: Disability-Adjusted Life Year, Human Development Index, Mortality, Incidence, and Prevalence). Layers can be grouped into a set, like the Disability-Adjusted Life Year, which has a submenu that allows you to filter by different cancer types. To turn a layer on or off, simply click on the desired layer. Please note that only one layer can be displayed at a time. Only one layer can be displayed at a time.
